How do I choose the best health plan for my family?

When choosing a health insurance plan things can get very confusing.  Here is a list of questions to ask yourself and your agent before purchasing a policy:

• How much is the premium?
• Do you want to insure everything or just the large unexpected incidents?
• What will your deductibles be?
• After meeting your deductibles how much will you have to pay?
• Is your current doctor in the network?
• Can I use a doctor or hospital outside of the network?
• How much does it cost to go outside of the network?
• Is your pre-existing condition covered?
• Will the plan cover a pregnancy?
• Are your prescription med’s covered by the plan?
• Will the plan cover specialty doctors and/or non traditional medicine?
